Hurrah!!

I am so very happy to report that I finally got a job!! Three cheers!!
It all happened so quickly. I handed my CV in on Tuesday morning, got offered an interview Tuesday evening, went for the interview Wednesday morning and got the job Thursday lunchtime. I start work this Tuesday coming and I can't tell you how excited I am!
I bet you're all wondering where it is I'm now working. I am now officially an employee at Cath Kidston Winchester :)
I'm not sure how well known Cath Kidston is over the pond, but here in the UK, it's not just a brand, it's a lifestyle choice. It's a chain of designer shops selling gorgeous handbags, clothing, home goods and fabrics, all in a floral, English country style. They also sell a huge range of sewing accessories; sewing boxes, knitting needles, ribbon, buttons, books etc. It is my dream job because it is just so me.

See, isn't it the most gorgeous shop ever?!

I am so very lucky to get a job there. It's only a temporary position for over the summer at the moment, but the interviewer said they were looking to sign a couple of people on permanently. I plan to show them just how hard working I am to secure one of those jobs.
There's quite a strict dress code at work. Lots of floral (naturally), no black, only dark denim jeans, sensible shoes and always looking smart with hair and nails and such. If I do get hired permanently (fingers crossed!) I get a fixed allowance to buy Cath Kidston clothes. Genuine Cath Kidston clothes - oh be still my beating heart!
I bet you can tell how excited I am purely by the amount of exclamation marks I've used in this post :) I am so very pleased. Also, houses are being allocated soon so I will soon have a job, a house and the most perfect summer ahead of me ever :)
Best wishes,

Congratulations! And what an awesome job, you lucky thing!! I love Cath Kidston, there were several times when we were in the UK when hubby had to almost drag me out of the stores. You can get some Cath Kidston stuff here, mostly the smaller 'girly' stuff like soap and writing paper, but it's just sooo expensive (It's not cheap in the UK, so imagine what it's like here!). I'll look forward to hearing about how it goes!
