Yet another busy week of work - both school and my job. I haven't had much time for blogging or stitching which gets me down a little. I can't wait for the Christmas holidays for some time to relax but we've still got another week to go. I'm sure everything will be fine in the end, just got to battle through!
I did manage to finish my first Lizzie*Kate piece this past week, complete with miniature buttons!

I really enjoyed stitching this little beauty and will probably do it again in time for next time. I'm turning this into a pillow when I get a chance, and speaking of pillows, I've started preparing my Twilight pillows . . .
I do all the tacking etc. before Mum gets the sewing machine out to save time. It's an old Singer that used to belong to my grandmother, so I'm only allowed to use it when Mum's around, just in case :) What do you think is the best homemade gift? Home baked things are always good for me, particularly from a friend of mine who made me a special cake just because she thought I was looking a bit down. Thanks Georgina!
On a side note from stitching, my University application was sent off this week so I will hopefully be offered places soon by my chosen Unis. Exciting!
I hope you are all having a lovely (and more productive than me!) week and I'll check in soon.

This is too cute :)
lovely finish Becka :) I've done this one myself this year :) I love homemade presents, it seems much more thoughtful than a store bought one. Keep us posted on your uni application, I'll keep everything crossed for you x
I'm amazed that you can get ANY stitching or finishing done with your busy schedule, Bekca! Good luck with the finishing on these fun pieces.
I always appreciate any homemade gift because it shows me the giver really cares about me by giving up her precious time to create something. Nice to have a special friend like Georgina :)
And I'm sure it's a relief to have your university applications complete--best of luck to you :)
these are great.
