It's Time to Reveal the Winner!

Hello my friends. I hoped to include pictures in this post of my finished stitched piece for the giveaway, a real tah-dah moment.

Unfortunately, I didn't have enough cardboard to construct my flat ornament, and need to wait for payday to be able to get fresh stock! So my advanced apologies to the winner, you may have to wait a little for the giveaway parcel. But when have I ever been on time for anything? ;)

So, the big reveal. I put the numbers 1-20 in a random number generator, but I don't know how to copy the image over. So I will tell you now, the winner is . . .

No. 20 - Karoline from Karoline's Corner!

Congratulations Karoline! Please send me your mailing address to my email. It's on my profile :) It may take me some time, but by jingo, I'll get the parcel to you!

Thank you all so much for entering my little competition. You all left truly lovely comments and I can't thank you enough for your kindness. I love blogging, as I've said before and I hope to put another parcel together soon. In the meantime, I think I'd like to get involved in more RAKs, spread a little love around :)

Best wishes,

Hello Sunshine!

Boy am I pleased that the weather's cheered up! It was grey and miserable for too long. But now the sun has got his hat on, the birds are cheeping, the flowers are blooming and I am one happy lion :)

Thank you all so much for your kind blogaversary wishes. I could never give up blogging, I enjoy it far too much :) There's still time to enter my celebration giveaway, just leave a comment on this post to be in with a chance. I'm picking the winning name on Wednesday 24th April :)

In other news, now that I finished up my giveaway stitching, I could work on something else. Yippee! I have quite a few projects on the go at the moment, for me anyways. The one that shouted out the loudest was my large farmhouse design. I really would love to get this piece finished this year. Although I've still got more stitching to do on the actual house, I moved on to the border collie part to keep things fresh. Here's where I'm up to . . .

This is quite an easy design on 14ct aida, but it's challenging due to its sheer size. Once all of my Uni projects are complete, it will be full steam ahead on this one!

I hope you're all enjoying whatever weather you've got right now. I have to go to work in a bit, but at least the walk into town will be very pleasant in the sunshine :)
Best wishes,

Happy Blogaversary to Me!

My goodness! I've been blogging away for three years! I've gone through two years of A-levels, started at University, moved out of my family home, met the love of my life and stitched so many things, I couldn't recount them all :)
I think blogging is such a blessing in my life. Not only have I learnt so much, from new finishing techniques to previously undiscovered designers, but I've met so many wonderful people. I bet if I met some of them in person, they would greet me with a warm hug and a plate of cookies :) You know who you are! I truly believe it's an amazing to connect with people half way around the world with our craft. I feel special to play a part in this community :)

Onto the celebration! For my third blogaversary, I am naturally hosting a giveaway :) The theme is things I like, but that I think one lucky follower would like too.

As you all know, I work in Cath Kidston. I'm also a big fan of Autumn, it's my favourite season. So this sweet squirrel pin cushion from CK fits the bill for one of my favourite things. He'll be in the parcel, along with a WDW Lucky thread. Green is my favourite colour :)

I LOVE chocolate. I love chocolate so much, I had to buy choc for my giveaway that I'm not allowed to eat so that I wouldn't gobble it up :P I'm throwing in some pretty bias binding in the parcel too.

I may add a few little piece in the bag, but the next major thing will be a stitched piece made by me. To keep it fun, I won't reveal what it is until I pick the winner. But I will tell you it's a Country Cottage Needleworks design! Because that's my favourite designer :)

I hope you would like to join me in celebrating my blogaversary. To have your name in the pot, just leave a comment below with an email addy :) There's no need to pass on the message on your own blog, but that would be very lovely if you chose to. The giveaway is open to all, anywhere in the world. I shall pick a winner in just over a week's time on Wednesday 24th April.

Good luck to everyone! Here's to the next year of stitchy goodness :)
